Dr. Sunny Tan Chiok Ling

Managing Director, HerbalScience Singapore

As Managing Director of HerbalScience Singapore, Dr. Tan brings a wealth of science, business and management experience to the organization. Dr. Tan received his undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from the University of New South Wales and his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the John Curtin School of Medical research at the Australian National University in Canberra. Prior to joining HerbalScience Singapore, Dr. Tan was a Partner at Biomedical Strategy Consultants, a Singapore biomedical business consulting firm providing business development, technology commercialization and investment advisory services to pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics companies. Dr. Tan has also served as Vice President at Exploit Technologies, a Division of A*STAR (Singapore), as COO of Asia Pacific Capital Management (Singapore), and Associate Director, Biomedical Sciences at Temasek Holdings, the Singapore Government’s investment holding company responsible for biomedical science investments. Dr. Tan started his career with Singapore’s National Science & Technology Board (A*STAR) and has worked with the Ministry of Health Singapore to establish its Center for Drug Administration.
