This provides the Company and its partners with significant advantage by establishing strong barriers to entry for competing products. HerbalScience applies for U.S. and international patent protection to cover discoveries on new compositions, their production and uses across multiple markets and applications. In addition, HerbalScience through its subsidiary HSRx LLC, pursues patent coverage on novel drug leads for pharmaceutical applications.

HerbalScience has developed IP on more than 50 botanicals that target multiple health and wellness endpoints. These include metabolic control, healthy aging, physical and mental performance, immune enhancement, beauty and skin health, women’s health and athletic performance. The Company has issued or has pending more than 40 patents in the U.S. and internationally. HerbalScience’s strong IP position protects Methods-of-Making, Composition-of-Matter and Methods-of-Use (including Mode-of-Action).
