John M. McClelland

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. McClelland brings more than 20 years of vision, decisive leadership, direction and motivation to the organization. Mr. McClelland has personal experience managing all functions within an operating company and a proven ability to add “value” and lead companies through a successful startup, transition, growth or turnaround. While a principal of his own consulting firm, started in 1991, he has provided technical and management expertise to several early stage and start-up companies involved in diverse industries. These include Video Conferencing, Security Hardware, Machine Language Translation, Advanced Mechanical Power Transmission, and Automotive Variable Valve Timing Technology Systems. Mr. McClelland was a founding associate of Synkinetics, Inc., a power transmission technology entity, and was responsible for several key patents for that company. As Founder, President and CEO of Gulf Coast Audio Design, Inc., from 1993 through 2001, Mr. McClelland developed Southwest Florida’s high-end custom electronics and automation control market and operated the premier design and installation company in that region. In 2001 Mr. McClelland began researching the chemicals found in botanicals and the engineering of the methods used to extract those chemicals. Early in his career, he worked in design engineering and engineering management at McDonnell Aircraft Company (now Boeing), Pyrotector, and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Mr. McClelland received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
