Dan Li, PhD

Dr. Li received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2001. That same year she was named Excellent Graduate Student and received a second-place award for her dissertation on Supercritical Carbon Dioxide technology. The co-inventor of a U.S. patent in Supercritical Fluid technology, Dr. Li has co-authored 25 scientific publications on Supercritical Fluid technology, biopharmaceuticals, and light scattering. Dr. Li has more than two years of experience at the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University Supercritical Carbon Dioxide laboratory in leading the development of proprietary Supercritical Carbon Dioxide extraction processes. Since joining HerbalScience in 2004 Dr. Li has participated in the development of 38 patents and 26 proprietary extraction processes.
