David H. P. King

Founder and President

Mr. King graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, East Asian Studies, in 1982 from Yale College. He serves as President and Director of the Yale Westchester Alumni Association. In 1983, he joined PaineWebber, Inc. and became the firm’s first Investment Banking Analyst promoted to Associate just two years later. He was then promoted to Managing Director and led and participated in more than 100 banking transactions valued at approximately $10 billion. Within two years he was promoted again to Managing Director of PaineWebber, International, managing a staff of 15 investment banking professionals and overseeing more than 30 investment banking assignments, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture advisories and private placements. By 1999 he was responsible for coordinating PaineWebber’s coverage of financial sponsors including leveraged buyout groups and venture capital firms. Mr. King holds many Directorships, including Sapphire Audio, Everglo International and Tivoli Audio. After five years as Co-founder and Director at Prestige Brands International, the company was sold in a 2004 transaction valued at > $550 million. As the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Peak Capital Holdings, Mr. King manages an investment portfolio with a value of over $130 million. Peak Capital Holdings and affiliates have invested approximately $60 million in 13 companies.
